    May 4th, 2011

    Wallkill Valley Times
Article by Sharon MacGregor - Wednesday 5/4/2011:

Memory Lane is now the host of Friday night car cruises and the Tri-State Car Club.  The Tri-State Car Club has been meeting informally since the 1980's but made things official in 1992.  The group welcomes all makes, all models, all ages of participants and members do not have to own show cars.  President Robert Sprague and Vice-President Rick Heal were on hand to share information about the club and encourage everyone to visit the website www.tristatecarclub.com.

The Tri-State Car Club are not only car enthusiasts, but community supporters and hold charity cruises as well as support students participating in local BOCES automotive program.  If interested in joining the club, (though non0members are also welcome) meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month at the Wallkill Community Center on Wes Warren Drive in Middletown.  For those who are interested in showing their car  for judging, registration is a one-time season fee of only $5.00 and vehicles must be registered to be considered for judging.  Judging is sponsored by a different individual or business each week with the opening, "Dust Off" theme sponsored by Roxanne Sprague of ERA Realty.  Thought the weather was a bit cool and gloomy for the opening cruise, people gathered and mingled while admiring the vehicles and visiting with vendors.
